Top 10 Reasons We’re Excited About the Future
Last year was a big year for LTY. In October, we celebrated our 10th anniversary, a feat few small businesses manage. Looking forward into the new year, there are already plenty of signs that 2025 is going to be another year of growth at LTY. Here are our Top 10 Reasons We’re Excited About the Future:
LTY is a company of engineers from top to bottom. In 2025, more than 50 percent of our staff will be licensed Professional Engineers. Another 25 percent will be certified Engineers-in-Training.
While 95 percent of our work involves projects for K–12 school districts, colleges, and universities, we occasionally have the opportunity to work on other projects. In 2025, LTY will be designing several major non-education projects, including the plumbing for George R. Brown South Building and a master plan with related services for Washington County Expo.
Don’t worry, education projects are still our bread and butter. We have several exciting projects opening in 2025. First on the list are projects with long-term partner Magnolia ISD. Magnolia Intermediate School #3 and Magnolia Junior High School #3 are both scheduled to open in 2025. These schools are the most recent projects designed by LTY since beginning work for the district in the 1990s.
Just down the road from Magnolia ISD will be the completion of several exciting projects in Montgomery ISD. These include a centralized CTE Center and a centralized Ag Center. LTY provided all the MEP engineering design for the district’s 2022 bond projects, including these two facilities as well as Creekside Elementary, which opened for the 2024–25 school year.
Heading up north, two projects in Dallas ISD are scheduled to open in 2025. Renovations and additions to Henry W. Longfellow Career Exploration Academy will be ready this summer, as well renovations and additions to Moises Molina High School. These were two of LTY’s first projects in the DFW metroplex.
In higher education, Tarleton State University will celebrate the opening of its Convocation Center in May 2025. The facility will bring to fruition a promise that brought Division I athletics to the school. Home to the school’s basketball programs, the center is designed to host multiple community events as well as graduations, concerts, and trade shows. It will be a game changer for the Stephenville community.
Speaking of game changers, the University of Texas at Rio Grande Valley Vaquero Performance Center and Football Stadium Renovations will open in time for the 2025 football season. This will be the inaugural season for the university’s football program, and excitement as brewing in the community with season ticket and suite sales exceeding expectations.
The LTY team is growing. Our offices in Houston and Dallas continue to grow. In our Dallas office, we are working with several new local school districts including Cedar Hill, Cleburne, Lewisville, and Plano on projects ranging from facility assessments to transportation centers.
As our team grows, we have expanded our recruiting efforts for experienced and newly graduated team members. We recruit from schools like Texas A&M, University of Texas, Kansas State, Auburn, Penn State, Oklahoma State, and more to find the best people to serve our clients.
Staff development is a high priority. Our mantra is “Excellence with a Personal Touch.” We can’t pursue excellence without making professional development a priority. Last year, we implemented a series of monthly workshops for project managers. In 2025, we will be expanding the series and honing additional skills with individual development plans.
