McGown Elementary School

Located in Bridgeland, one of the fastest-growing communities in the nation, McGown Elementary School opened in August 2022. Part of CFISD’s 2014 bond, the $30-million school has a base capacity of 1,092 students with options to expand with use for pre-K. The school is connected to the community’s pedestrian pathway and features an outdoor learning area. It was designed with a unique security system with the ability to close off individual portions of the school, as well as an indoor-air quality system that rotates air every 9.5 minutes with 40 percent fresh air from the outside. LTY provided all MEP design services for this project.
